Good review of a seemingly good book.

I met Jerry (the author of this book) a few weekends ago in the Five Ponds Wilderness. He was camped with a friend at High Rock for the weekend- they'd paddled in to do some research in the bogs along the shores of the Oswegatchie River. He was very knowledgeable about all sorts of things Adirondack, and a pleasure to talk to. It turned out that he and I know a few of the same people in the academic world, and his companion and one my friends also knew a few of the same people in the academic world as well. Small world.

I've had a copy of it sitting on my desk for a few months but have not yet read it. I guess it's time to do so.

What a well written article. I guess I'll have to add this book to the list. I'd like to be lucky enough to meet Jerry sometime.
