Right now I'm seeing a forecast of 0 down low on Sunday, -15 Saturday and Sunday night. You'll need to keep a close eye and be prepared to turn back before there's a situation.

Agreed.... Especially if you are breaking trail and heating up but your dog is moving slowly in the trench behind you getting cold.

I don't take my dogs out in those temps, Fwiw. Ice is particularly bad on ledges this winter --- so they haven't hiked much.
