In one week:
Nasuh Mahruki, recipient of the prestigious Soviet "Snow-Leopard" climbing
award, will be speaking Tuesday, November 30 at 8pm in Emerson Hall 305.
Mr. Mahruki has completed the first Turkish ascents of K2, the Seven
Summits, and motorbiked from Turkey to Nepal and back. Check out

In two weeks:
Bjarne Holmes, of Harvard Medical School, will be presenting a show titled
'Adventures in Mountaineering: Tales From the Edge of Life' on Thursday
December 9 at 8pm in Emerson Hall 105. The show covers a big wall
expedition to Mt. Ketil in Greenland, an alpine expedition to Alpamayo in
Peru, and trips in Ecuador, Norway, and the Rockies.

Perhaps they are still celebrating their football season after the outing to Yale Bowl.

I hear about their lectures usually through announcements from the Harvard Outing Club, who have a listserv and own the "lower" Harvard Cabin near Pinkham Notch. They have info here
