Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park - 01/03/2012

Trail Conditions: Snow-free and generally ice-free. Couldn't resist - I had my axe with me and cleared 7 blowdowns on the Harraseeket Trail (western loop). Nothing big but trail is now clear for snow-shoers and xc-skiers should we get any snow.

Special Equipment Required: None.

Comments:
This is one of my favorite state parks in the Northeast. A true coastal gem with some really nicely built trails that skirt and overlook the rocky Freeport coast. This is more of a walk than a hike but all the same it is worth the trip if you are visiting Freeport. The western Harraseeket trail is also nice as a longer loop.
