Trail Conditions: Packed powder along the trail, crusted over powder of you stepped off trail. Was broken out to North Twin but looked like fresh snow had fallen at higher elevations - North Twin Spur Trail had to be broken out.
Special Equipment Required: Used snowshoes the entire trip.
Comments: Used the parking area at the end of Little River Road. Plowed and plenty of space. Took the snow mobile trail to Haystack Road then North Twin Trail to North Twin and North Twin Spur Trail to South Twin. Retraced our steps to get back to our cars. Wore snow shoes right from the start. The trail is pretty well packed but there was some fresh snow that need to be trampled down between North and South Twin. Skipped the first and second river crossings by using the route along the left bank of the river. The third crossing was easily done on an ice bridge. There were numerous blowdowns that were easy to avoid by climbing.g over or crawling under.
