Conditions were unchanged from Ed's report yesterday. Well-packed all the way with minimal drifting even in the usual deep spots. Lots of ice down low, right from the lot.
We wore Hillsound ST's car-to-car, optimal on the packed surface and sections of impressive but not difficult ice.
Rewarding hike with John, Giff and Mike. Great to have John back on the trails with us. The above timberline area was surreal, everything totally covered with rime ice. It was cold, windy and starkly beautiful.
