Date of Hike: 2/19/12
Trail Conditions: Lots of ice. Harder ice lower down where there is no sun. Some softer ice near the top and on the ledges. Ice was largely rough surfaced, so not excessively slippery.
Special Equipment Required: Microspikes. Saw some with snowshoes, which were not necessary. Even saw some crampons, which were serious overkill.
Comments: Very pleasant hiking conditions. Spikes gave plenty of traction, both up and down. I trotted down, with only a few spots that required caution.
