Via Dicey's Mill Trail and Rollins Trail

We did an out and back from Dicey's Mill to avoid the cliffs on Blueberry Ledge Trail. Started out barebooting, switched to micros at the big crossing, then to snowshoes at the start of Rollins and wore those almost all the way back to the trailhead, though micros would have been sufficient on the lower section of Dicey's Mill. All trails are now well packed out and easy to follow, except the short section just beyond the summit of Passaconaway to the view point which was much tougher regardless of footing. Good sections of butt sliding on the way down from Passaconaway. The snow softened considerably by the late afternoon and was a bit sticky, and we noticed some very significant snow melt on the last half mile of Dicey's Mill compared to the morning climb. Trails are in reasonably good shape - a few blowdowns on lower Dicey's Mill and a number of duck-unders on Rollins, but none of serious consequence.

Hannah had a great day - warm temps, easy footing, no steeps, and plenty of critters to chase including a pine marten she spied and chased up a tree.

Great views from every where and very little wind all day. Thanks to Ali and Hannah for a fantastic hike!
