Fairly wet everywhere with a dusting of snow and many icy spots at the higher elevations, but definitely barebootable. Beavers are expanding their territory in the upper portions of the Peabody Brook Trail, and in one area the trail is flooded and a bog bridge has floated off. The Austin Brook trail crosses many recently logged areas but has been well-marked and/or rerouted.
Both Giant and Dryad Falls were impressive, and well worth visiting via their spur paths. Great views of the northern presidentials from the slide on Peabody Brook Tr.
