East Dix/Grace Peak

Some friends and I are thinking of climbing East/Grace Memorial Day weekend. We plan to take the herd path/bushwack and climb the slide. Does anyone know if the floods of last year radically altered this route? Anything we should be on the lookout for?

If you mean the access from the stone bridge on Route 73, yes it's very easy to follow, the snow was gone all the way to the slide weeks ago and now the herdpath. The crossing have not change much, even though many boulders/rocks were re-arranged by Irene. You can expect the slide to be quite slick but have the option to take the herdpath to the right of the right slide as it goes all the way to the Carson/Grace col.

Thanks for those replies. I am hoping it has dried a bit by next weekend so we can stay out on the slide!

Plan B!

Because of this week's (and today's) rain, we've postponed the E Dix slide till another time and will climb Macomb instead!
