Isreal Ridge descent?

Hi all...

Looking to finally do Jefferson via the Castle trail...hoping to loop it using Isreal Ridge trail as the out (starting at the gulfside trail once we are off Jefferson)...

What do you all think? What trail compares in steepness (Lowes?)...will we be sorry if we choose this for a way out?

Chief issues are brook crossings and some sections where the trail overhangs a gully, I would avoid if wet
 
Good Descent

We did this loop in the winter and to be honest, I thought Israel ridge was a pleasant descent (given what you are coming off of). I only remember the stream crossing at the end, being the most challenging, but you have to cross that anyway if you come in on the castle trail.
