trails: garfield trail, garfield ridge trail, bushwack, frost trail, twinway, north twin spur, north twin trail, herd path

conditions: all trails in decent shape. mostly dry with minor wet spots and small patches of mud. off trail jaunt to east garfield was thick, but short. crossing of the little river was fine on rocks near the downed tree. used the herd path around the other two. bugs got to us on east garfield, but otherwise weren't really an issue.

equipment: nothing in particular.

comments: beautiful day for these peaks. great views, with a nice cool breeze up high in the open. east garfield probably has my favorite view along the ridge and is well worth the short bushwack. thanks to cynthia for a nice day.
