A hiking friend just posted this on Facebook. Do not know if this will always be free or not, but if you own a Kindle, grab it while you can!

I just tried to get it but Amazon wouldn't allow it, saying i had to follow other directions, which i could not find. I put it onto my wish list to try again when i have stronger wi-fi.

Got it!

I was able to download it by "buying" it via Amazon.com, by searching for the title there and then choosing delivery via Kindle.

What an amazing resource to have available for free, albeit only on my iPad.

I just tried again, and it is no longer free but costs $9.99. If you don't have a copy of this guide, I recommend it.
