Conditions: the Brookwood snowmobile trails were a muddy mess, but who would have thought otherwise? Long Trail is in good shape, hardly muddy at all despite the rain the day before. No one at Stratton Pond that morning, and caretaker wasn't there yet. Bugs were really only bad on the IP road. Deet took care of them elsewhere.
