Date of Hike: 6/9/2012

Trail Conditions: Trail wet down low but traction was fine. There is one large blowdown practically within sight of the parking lot that is high enough for short people like me to have an problem with. A herd path has formed around it, causing some unsightly erosion. I'm surprised they'd leave a blowdown there for so long, so close to the parking area (literally under a hundred yards distant).

Special Equipment Required: Whatever you imagine to be effective against blackflies. Luckily the wind took care of them for most of the hike but in some calmer wooded sections they were fierce.

Comments: Nice day to be out. Wind was a bit strong at the top and I foolishly didn't bring any extra clothes, but sitting on the south side of the summit cairn proved to be a sufficient wind-break, and I sat on top for half an hour in perfect comfort.
