Willey, Field , A-Z, Ethan Pond 6/9/12 & 6/10/12

First hike in Whites this season. Up Kedron Flume Trail, Willey via stairs, across to A-Z, to Zealand Hut, on to Ethan Pond Trail, and out via Willey House andSaco River Trail.
Spent night near Thoreau Falls. Not too buggy, more blackflies at summit of Willey. A little wet in places, but not too bad.
Beautiful weather. Many others on Willey Ridge trail, none on A-Z, or Ethan Pond on the 9th.
Talked to thru-hiker at Zealand- expected to be on Washington in a day, Katadin in 17.
