Date of Hike: 8/25/2012
Trail Conditions: Overall dry, one large tree down not far from the still closed Youth Camping area. Tree sits in a wet area & even with the dry weather, either way around the tree had mud and water. One Spot on vista trail was wet also, otherwise, everything is quite dry.
Special Equipment Required: none
Comments: - Part of this area was involved in the fire they had in the park earlier this year. Seems more or a low brush fire based on damage seen, downed trees were burned, less brush in the forest but many trunks either not burned or burned less than 10 feet above the ground.
