Date of Hike: 10/5/12
Trail Conditions: Trails are in good condition. Be careful, with the last week of rain there is quite a bit of mud in spots. Fortunately or unfortunately (depending on which way you look at it) there is a beautiful carpet of leaves that covers the mud on the first half of the trail. Those reds and yellows may be hiding layer of boot sucking quicksand! The streams were running high from all the rain, but no issue with water crossings.
Special Equipment Required: Hiking poles to help jump over a few mud pits.
