Nancy & Charlie finish the NH 200 Highest on N. Moat

Today, Sun. Oct. 21, Nancy and Charlie Foote, accompanied by their daughter Jean, and four of their friends, Renee, Hiker Ed, Francis, and the writer, finished the "New Hampshire 200 Highest" on North Moat Mountain. And as an added bonus, they also completed the "52 WAV" list also. The trails were very wet and a little hard to follow down low but became better the higher one climbed. The summit was a little windy, so we didn't spend much time there. We had a nice tailgate party in the Diana Bath lot with plenty of snacks and some PBRs. Talked in the lot with some fellow VFTT members (Peakbagger). All in all a great hike with a fine group of friends.

I'm sure that you will join me in congratulating Nancy and Charlie on such a great accomplishment.

Fellow hiker Francis Muzzey was awarded his Redlining patch today for his completion of all the trails in the 24th edition of the White Mountain Guide. More of his accomplishment will follow from a posting by Hiker Ed.

It was nice to meet up with you folks Sunday. Quite a surprise to meet up with such a distinguished crew and even more of a surprise to catch back up with in the parking lot. Congratulations to all.
