Trail Conditions: Very easy for the first few miles, dry leaves over frozen dirt and some frosty dirty. Tiny stream crossings easy to step over. Toward the summit there was more and more ice to step around and a few times the pace pretty much ground to a halt as we navigated.

Special Equipment Required: We came close to using traction (microspikes) a few times but didn't. Definitely nice to have it in the pack. Poles also very helpful around the icy areas. Puffy jackets needed for any time we stopped moving for more than a few minutes. We started the hike at 11am and needed a headlamp at the end of the day.

Comments: Gorgeous hike, great time of year to do this one. New summit loop a bit tricky to follow at times but there is orange flagging if you look for it. Saw no one else out there all day on a Thursday.
