Tr. cond;Smooth packed out highway all the way to the top.Lower section after Tom Wiggins junction until stream crossing[no problem]slighty drifted due to high wind, but easy to follow.Section after stream crossing was like a sled run.Packed out nicely with very pleasant footbed to the summit.Thank you Longjohn for report on jan.4th on Rockets site.
spec. equipment;snowshoes from start to finish.Road walk did not require them, but most wore them anyways to keep the integrity of the road :D
Last of part of trail might need crampons if icey[likely on and off during winter]Full coverage today with usual variety of face garb.
comments;Decided to head up north at the last minute, glad I did.113 and 113a very icey,my car spun a little even with snowtires on the way in.Driving down ferncroft road in a whiteout was awesome.Cold wind chills today made for a longer ascent then hoped for but a very fast descent with such a nice track.Nice to meet Emma,"vinnie" and our own BEARDO!Met some chill dudes from Quebec city[Richard?].this peak is a steal right now.....
