Hiked this nice little mountain for the first time yesterday. Great unobstructed views of Conway/North Conway and even some of Mt Washington.
Entire trail was well packed down and snowshoes were not needed but we wore them anyway since conditions were still fine for them. Light traction or even barebooting would have been fine too.
2 or 3 bend under or step over blowdowns on the route, but not a big problem. Only one 8ft section of ice, but it was avoidable.
I recommend doing a clockwise loop from the trailhead on Thompson Road. This is definately an underrated peak and I recommend you give it a try at some point.
