Date of Hike: Saturday, February 16th
Trails: Bike path, bushwhack, Liberty Springs Trail, Franconia Ridge Trail
Trail Conditions: Basin Bushwhack was well broken out. Liberty Springs Trail was well broken out and water crossing was snow bridged. Franconia Ridge Trail Broken out, little choppy in places between Liberty in flume but mostly in good shape, watch out for some low hanging branches.
Special Equipment: Barebooting/light traction with no post-holing today (if you step off the trail you will though). Snowshoes would have been fine too.
Comments: Plenty of parking at the Basin, bike path firm so walking on it will not mess up X-country ski tracks, watch out for the snowmobiles. No wind and cool views from the summits! Trip Report / Pictures
