For those who are familiar with the Randolph Mountain Club, Dan Tucker was a major supporter of the club over the years. When the club needed a temporary space to house trail crew workers Dan and his wife Edith offered up the use of a small cottage on their property and also rehabbed the cottage to make it more usable for the trail crew. For those driving by on RT 2, this was the tent city on the North side of RT 2 just west of Appalachia. The Tucker's alos offered a spot to the club for the tool storage amd maintenance shop as well as a few year later for the new permanent home of the trail crew.
