At Jason-Great find! Just proves anything is possible!

At Adam- Also a great find! Painted Trillium for sure, why it has double petals, actually 8! is a mystery to me!

The trillium on steroids is way cool! As a herpetologist friend of mine likes to say "the critters don't read the ID guides", or in this case the plant didn't read it, apparently

Have not seen any flowers from the Presi's posted yet. Are they out now? I will be up there this weekend to hike Monroe and Eisenhower.

We were up there yesterday. Diapensia, Lapland Rosebay and Alpine Azalea were abundant between Eisenhower and Monroe, better higher up, but there wasn't much going on on Eisenhower itself. We also encountered Avens between the peaks.

Harebells out yet?

Anybody seeing any Harebells yet this year? It was about this time last year (end of July) J&J had some great shots of Harebells and other great flowers in the Great Gulf. I'd love to see some this season.

They were all over the place up at Rosebrook Mtn (Bretton Woods).
Can't seem to find what they are - any ideas?
