Temporary closure of ski trails on Wildcat mountain to ALL recreational use until June 21st. Includes the typical route for hikers. I imagine this is due to the demolition work occuring on the summit which I posted about earlier, since it seems to encompass the work road access.

Trails listed are:
Upper Polecat
Middle Polecat
Lower Polecat
Stray Cat
Tom Cat
Upper Lynx
Upper Wildcat
Top Cat and Black Cat above Cat Track

Well, that just sux, but it is nice to know! Thanks for posting this, MJ.

Looks like you can still take Catapult all the way up.
A little steeper than Polecat, but fine really.

Well that cures one hike I was planning in a couple weeks

Betcha that the closure of Upper Wildcat is supposed to prevent summit access that way

And they forgot to close Lift Lion

But I wouldn't try either one with a ranger around

I would guess there would be no issue taking the glades/bushwack route up on the north side of polecat either..no need to go anywhere near the constructions work
