I had a few hours free this morning of Mothers Day so decided on a quick-hitter hike.
Had heard many good things over the years about Stinson Mountain in Plymouth/Rumney, NH
Nice easy drive to the Stinson Mountain Trailhead parking.
Started at 10:15am
Made it to the 0.9 mark where the old tractor road comes in by 10:35
Trail in good shape but from this point up to the summit, was real wet and muddy. As expected with the well needed rains we have gotten the past few days.
Hit the summit at 11:10. So took 55 minutes to get to the top of the 1.8 mile trail.
Had the summit to myself up top and had lunch until I started my descent around 11:30.
Back down at my car by 12:15 for a total of 2 hours and 3.6 miles.
Nice little hike and a good climb of 1,400 ft overall.
Now back to civilization and Sunday errands and Mothers Day... Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!
