Date of Hike: Saturday, May 18th

Trails: Huntington Ravine, Alpine Garden, Lion Head, Tuckerman

Trail Conditions: Tuckerman Ravine Trail has some minor rotting snow and mud spots between Huntington Ravine Trail and Lion Head Trail Junction. Huntington Ravine Trail has some snow before and after the Fan, a few feet here and there but melting fast. Above the fan the trail disappears below the snow in spots but you really can't get lost as you approach the first rock scramble. Scrambles are free of snow and ice. Alpine garden is dry and in great shape. Lion Head above treeline is in great shape, below treeline some mud and minor snow, trail is wet in spots but in decent shape.

Special Equipment: none

Comments: Tuckerman Ravine and Lion Head Trails were a zoo! No one on the Huntington Ravine Trail, it was very quiet and awesome. Great hike with Alton and her dog Cole, weather and views were perfect. The dog needed assistance through the Fan and on the scrambles, extreme caution is advised if taking a dog up Huntington. With that said Cole loved every second of it! Report / Pictures
