Date of Hike: June 1, 2013
Trail Conditions: This is an easy one. No snow, no ice, some patches of mud, and some slippery rocks on both trails. To the best of my recollection there was one tiny blowdown on the Mt Kinsman Trail. That's it. Both trails were otherwise clear and in great shape. Looked like there was some trail work done on the lower section as the drainages were clean and clear (thanks), though there needs to be more brushing-in in some of wider, multi-route sections. It started raining as we left so expect more mud tomorrow.
Special Equipment Used: Nothing.
Comments: Hiked this one with my friends Brian and Mary Bond, and Rick and Lisa Frageolle. I also had the definite pleasure of finally meeting in person my friend Cynthia (Lady Gray). She was headed up (after banging out Willey, Field, and Tom in the morning) -- as I had hoped and expected -- as we were descending. She's so full of life! What a great day!
