We hit the East Trail starting from New Russia with a mixed group of kids, adults, and two yellow labs. It was already hot and sticky at 8AM. The trail was in good shape and not too muddy. This was my first time on this trail, as I had previously hiked to RPR via the Ridge Trail over Giant.

The East Trail route is deceptively hard (lots of ups and downs) and a takes a long time to get to RPR, but we were rewarded with spectacular views and blueberries over much of the way. The "Blueberry Cobbles" are appropriately named!

We continued on over to Giant, and decended via the Ridge Trail. Again, this section of trail was in good shape and not too muddy.

A great day in the woods!
