A Morning Jaunt to Owl's Head (Cherry Mountain) - 7-22-13

For the final hike of our Seek the Peak long weekend we made our first visit to Mt Martha and Owl's Head on Cherry Mountain. We had been hoping for a Presi day (like Sunday), but when the weather didn't cooperate this was a good Plan B. As it turns out, it would have been a perfect Plan A as well - such a beautiful hike! This is one we'll definitely return to in the future on a clear day with those amazing views!

A hint of the amazing Presi views that await from Mt Martha on a clear day

I hiked over Cherry Mtn when I hiked the Cohos Trail. I went across on a Sunday morning over Labor Day weekend a few years ago and not another person. It's not the presis for scenery but they are good views and NO crowds.
