Parking at the Emily Proctor trailhead could hold 15 cars or so. The last 3/10 of a mile into the lot were rough but we made it fine with a sedan.
The first half of the EPT is a beautiful woods walk. Slight grade. Easy warm up and cool down. The last 1/2 of trail up to the Emily Proctor Shelter is much steeper. The rock, even after all these nice days is very slippery. There was mud and water on much of this part of the trail. From the shelter to Breadloaf, South on the LT the grade was easier again. Turned and went back to shelter then North on LT to Wilson.
There was plenty of water for dogs. No bugs.
All the water crossings were fairly easy. Two could be more problematic with some rain. The upper trail would also be problematic if it was or had been raining for a bit.
Met VFTT Jean Miller on Wilson. Met her on Nancy last Feb. She finishes tomorrow with Abe and Ellen. Good Luck
