Date of Hike: Saturday, November 9th
Trails: Lincoln Woods, Franconia Brook, Bushwhack
Trail Conditions: Lincoln Woods is in great shape. Franconia Brook Trail is in good shape, too. The water crossings were all rock hop-able, some where better going up or down stream about twenty feet. Use caution on crossings in the morning as some rocks have glaze ice covering them. As for the Bushwhack to Bear Pond, after crossing the Redrock Brook I took a right and kept the brook to my right for about ten to fifteen minutes through fairly open woods then headed left uphill to intercept and old railroad grade, I followed the RR grade until it petered out into a mostly dried up brook bed. From here if you follow the steambed it eventually gets really narrow and the woods get incredibly thick for the last few hundred feet until you pop out at the pond.
Comments: What an amazing place! If you'd like any more info feel free to email me REPORT / PICTURES
