Georg Feichtinger. "Over 60" "GRID" Finish

Hi to All



This past Saturday, Nov 23, 2013, Georg Feichtinger

and several of his friends made a visit to North & South

Kinsman via the Mt Kinsman Trail.



On this day, on the summit of South Kinsman,

Georg completed his "GRID" "AFTER AGE 60".



Starting from Georg's 60th birthday , ( now age 73 )

Georg has visited all "48" New Hampshire 4000 footers

in every calendar month. 12 x 48 = 576.



Georg who completed his original grid ( GRID FINISHER #22 )

on Mt Monroe, on Sept 16, 2011, is now the Third ( #3 )

known person to have started and completed a round of

the "GRID" after age 60.



I know you will all join me in a well deserved congratulations

to Georg.

It seems like the only people finishing the grid are retirees. 30 more years to go, and I'll be able to hike all day, every day as well!

My quick unscientific estimate is that around a third were retired when they finished....

It can be done mostly on Saturdays in less than 10 years
