Date of Hike: December 13, 2013

Trail Conditions: Conditions were good; 2-4" of snow with very limited ice underneath. We traveled quickly and easily. There were several blowdowns, mostly easy-overs, and nothing that slowed us down.

Special Equipment Used: We brought trekking poles and some light traction. We used the poles the entire hike so we didn't have to carry them, the traction stayed in our packs the whole time. Snowshoes are not yet needed, while they would add to the footing, the snow is thin and the rocks and what not under the snow would make for some tough walking I think. Gaiters were helpful.

Comments: Hiked this with Steff and as usual we had a terrific hike. It snowed lightly today with a tiny bit of sun. Temps were comfy in the teens with light winds. Good day!
