Trail Conditions: Tremont Trail broken out by Butterbuck, Brunel Trail unbroken. Decent track in place now.

Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes and poles required.

Comments: Thanks to Butterbuck for breaking out the Tremont Trail on Monday! It allowed me to save energy for the fun stuff between Tremont and Owls Cliff. Snow is relatively light and not terribly difficult to push through.

The are two crawl-under blow downs on the steeps of the northeast side of Tremont, likely to be step-overs as the snow base accumulates.

I brought crampons for the southwest side of Tremont but ended up not needing them. There is no ice and little crust under the snow.
