Trail is now nicely packed snow to the summit. Snow drifts in the summit area only. About 2 feet of snow either side of the path.

Special equipment needed: snowshoes; Microspikes would be okay but there still is a lot of snow in the path.

Parking lot is well maintained (by the water bottling plant). A skier, snowshoer and post-holer :) apparently broke trail for us the day before. The going got rougher above the rock slabs so we worked on opening that up. No sign of any travel beyond Mt. Roberts' summit.

Not a lick of wind today up there, just warm sun and bright blue sky - with the most magnificent views of Washington and Chocorua. This trail has good footing and is well marked with orange markers, blazes and cairns. The perfect winter hike for all abilities.
