Date of Hike: February 8, 2014
Trail Conditions: All trails were broken out real well after the new snow we got Wednesday. There were no post holes or blowns of any sort. There is somewhat of a lack of snow as some rocks still protrude through the snow but all very manageable. There were some icy spots which you needed some sort of traction.
Special Equipment Used: We brought trekking poles, micro-spikes and snow-shoes but decided to use shoes from car to car. You could have bare booted but always nice to have traction, as needed in a few spots along the way.
Comments: The weather was spectacular as the sun was beaming the entire day and winds were very minimal on ridge, although we were prepared for 25-35mph winds. The views of the Presidential Range were awesome. Once again, this was another great day in the Whites with Bob, Dan & Ed.
