Date of Hike: March 7, 2014
Trail Conditions: About 50/50 bare ground. Bare ground was mostly dry, very little mud at all. Snow and ice was only a couple of inches deep, most of the snow provided good footing negating any need for traction gear.
Special Equipment Required: Micro-spikes would have been too much of a pain to put on and take off. Easier to step in snow next to ice or go around small spots of ice.
Comments: It was nice to see signs of spring as it was nice to walk on bare ground once again. Will be curious how much melts in the next few days.
