Driving out of my road this morning I saw a nice fresh set of muddy moose tracks crossing the road at the local wetlands next to Route 2. When driving back from north conway around noon There was a yearling hanging out on the side of the road at Deadman's curve on RT 16 south of Pinkham with a few folks stopped to watch. When I got back home there were a couple more sets of muddy footprints where I had seen the first set in the morning.
Moose are out !

This guy was on Rt 16 between Pinkham and Dana Place on Saturday afternoon.
Great shot, looks like this one had a healthy winter.
The one I saw this AM was a bit smaller and decidedly more patchy.
