Date of Hike: April 27, 2014
Trail Conditions: Dry in most spots with a few large puddles with mud in those spots too. No downed trees, snow is gone in Eastern Connecticut
Special Equipment Required: None, saw a few bus but none biting yet.
Comments: Optional - Needed a 10 mile hike for Boy Scouts working towards their Hiking Merit Badge. (five 10 mile day hikes and a 20 miler plus some research and information) For much of the way, trail is on old charcoal/logging roads and you start near the ridge crest but ten miles is pretty good for 10-12 year olds. Glad I don't have to hike my age in miles!
