New Forest Road and Bridge Just up From Rocky Branch

Anyone have any info on the new road and bridge across the Ellis River just a little north of the Rocky Branch parking lot at the first pullout? The new road extends from the southern tip of the pullout on the east side of 16. It crosses the Ellis River on a new bridge that I have seen them working on over the last year. The road goes up the hill about a 1/4 mile to what looks like a large lot. Is this logging access or something else?

I dis a posting on this past fall, they actively logged it for a month or so until we had significant snow and then it was shut down over the winter. The bridge installed is a portable so I suspect it is logging access.
