Trails: Holt, Mowglis, Manning

Trail Conditions: The Holt Trail has some snow left just before breaking out into the open, most of it can be scooted around and it will probably be all gone in a week. The open ledges had a patch of snow here and there but once again it'll melt very soon. Most of the ledges were dry and the grip on the slab was good. Mowglis Trail to Manning Trail has standing water in a couple places flooding the trail, but very minor stuff. Manning Trail had one fifty foot stretch of failing snow and melting ice, other than that it's snow free and the whole trail should be snow free soon, too.

Comments: Mount Cardigan is a real gem of a mountain with lots of out in the open hiking. If you are new to hiking check out this mountain, there are several trails with varying difficulty. Views are phenomenal from the summit cone and there is an observation tower on the summit. Alton and I liked the Holt Trail a lot, especially the last section below the summit, we wished it was a little longer! Cole did very well on the trail, other than needing a boost up in the middle of the 'crack', he ran up it with no issues. Bigger dogs would have more issues, as always use caution. Report / Pictures
