Trails: Lincoln Woods, Osseo, Franconia Ridge, Garfield Ridge, Twinway, Bondcliff

Trail Conditions: All water crossings on the Bondcliff Trail were easily rock hopable. As far as everything else, the trails are in fine shape other than one nasty mud and bad erosion spots between the two lower crossings of the Bondcliff Trail.

If you are a new hiker and haven't been on these trails before, here is a little info on each section: Osseo Trail - is very well maintained with great footing and gradual grades for most of it's length, there are two steep sections, one of which has a bunch of cool ladder steps. Franconia Ridge - has decent footing with tremendous views between Lil' Haystack to Lafayette. Garfield Ridge Trail starts off above treeline for about a mile then drops into the woods over several minor but tiring up and down sections over the next five miles. The footing is rough and rugged, there are two steep sections heading up and down Mount Garfield. You can filter water from Garfield tentsite junction. Twinway - Is very steep with rough footing heading up to the South Twin from Galehead Hut (water and snacks available at the hut), from South Twin to Guyout the footing becomes much better and the trail is gradual. Bondcliff Trail - decent footing with a few eroded sections that are rough. There are a couple of short steep sections, but mostly the grades are gradual. Phenomenal views to be had from Bond to Bondcliff. There are water crossings on the lower section of the trail which are easy to cross unless there is heavy rain. (you can filter water from the brook crossings) Lincoln Woods Trail - It's an old RR grade, it's flat and a nice walk in the woods along the East Branch of the Pemi.
Comments: The weather was absolutely perfect for a nice run of the loop. Didn't bring my camera for this one so I only have a report for the run if interested, click here
