Trails: Zealand Trail, Twinway, Bondcliff Trail, West Bond Spur, and Lincoln Woods Trail.

Trail Conditions: All of the trails were in great shape with exception to the wet and muddy south end of the Bondcliff Trail and one muddy chunk of the Lincoln Woods Trail. These two trails also offered the only blowdowns of the trip, but nothing at all challenging. All crossings were easy, even though today's water levels were higher than usual thanks to some rain. Typical summer conditions all-in-all.

Special Equipment Used: We brought poles and they were helpful for the crossings. We brought bug spray and used a little at the beginning and end of our hike. At elevation we encountered few bugs and were spared in the evening from the inevitable mosquitoes thanks to cooling rains.

Comments: I hiked this two-day backpack with Steff and our mutual friend, Jennifer. A two-day Pemi backpack/Bonds Traverse. These peaks finished the list for Steff: her 48th was on Bondcliff this morning! w00t! (Jen is still working on it.) We beat the rains and stayed in the Guyot shelter itself. Lots of people there with four teen groups and all, but it was a great time and everything seemed to go our way. Though we missed the usual West Bond sunset since it was in a shroud of fog when we got there, we decided to go back to Guyot's false summit for views and we were richly rewarded with a breathtaking sunset. West Bond, as it seemed, still had fog issues. It was an added mile or so, but it was so worthwhile. I love that peak.
