I don't drive through Franconia Notch as much as I used to, so I was struck by the sight of a new slide across from Profile Lake when driving south this afternoon. At least, I am fairly certain it is new.... unless I have been really blind the other times I have passed through. It is only visible when heading south or standing in the boat launch parking area, and is a bit north of the old slides from the 1950s.
