Saturday, July 26, 2014 – Trail Work on Dan Doan Trail with Trailwrights

Trailwrights will be leading and working on the Dan Doan Trail, assisting co-adopters James Monroe and Jason Berard. Needed trail work includes tread way improvements, installing rock steps on a badly eroded section, cut in and paint blaze a relocation out of a very wet boggy area near the spring high up, along with a short relo near the AT boundary. We can always add additional drainage but it all depends on turn out. This will add to big improvements made in past years. The adopters will appreciate the help of all who are able to pitch in. This counts toward the hours needed for those pursuing the Trailwrights 72 Summits List.
Meet at 8:30 at the Jct of NH Rt. 25A and the Quintown Rd. in Orfordville, 10 miles west of Wentworth, Jct of NH Rt.25 and 25A. Bring gloves, sturdy boots, lunch etc. Tools provided. More info contact Hal Graham at e-mail [email protected].
