New Women's Hut Traverse Record

Steve Rosenman (Madhaus 2013), Luke Richardson (Lakes F12, Flea 2013, Carter F13 & 2014), and Megan Farrell (Ghoul 2012, Madhaus 2013 & 2014) completed the standard huts traverse (8 huts) on August 7th, 2014 in 16:47. (Steve finished in 16:46.)

We started at Carter Notch Hut at 3:15am (ascending Mad Gulf to Madison Spring Hut) and finished at Lonesome Lake Hut at 8:02pm. Weather included hail, rain, and wind speeds gusting into 40 mph. After having hiked for 50 challenging miles, we were relieved and happy to arrive at Lonesome just before sunset to a welcoming and kind croo.
