We celebrated Fran's 55th birthday by going for a walk from the end of Zealand Road to Lincoln Woods. Passed over four high peaks along the way, not including the one that didn't count, on which we ate lunch. Nice views. Pretty leaves.
Experienced some vertigo on Zeacliffs...hadn't had that happen in a long time. As a result, I chose not to go out onto the spire at Bondcliff for a photo op. Why ruin a good day by falling off a rock?
Great day in the Whites! Finished the hike with dry boots and no bug bites.
Having a celebratory burger and beer at the Common Man in Lincoln at the end of the day, I toasted my hiking partners (Fran and Amy)...I'd hike anywhere with those two!
Life is good.
