Is the 3251 summit of Mt Crescent closer to the so-called north summit as it appears to be on the AMC map, or to the south summit? The north summit is the upper junction of the Mt Crescent and Crescent Ridge Trails. If you have whacked around up there, about how far off the trail is the actual summit? Roughly what direction or will it be obvious when you're up there?
